You have thirty seconds to collect as many coins as you possibly can; after you have fifty coins, you will be able to purchase powerups such as the recognized fire flower. If you are successful, you will advance to the next level. If you are successful in defeating an opponent, you will receive an additional two seconds of time. You will run against foes and obstacles that become progressively more dangerous as you continue through the game.
